A few weeks ago Phil's parents, Sid and Christine, came out from California to visit us. We had a great time with them. After visiting each of us at work, they took us to a great Mexican meal.
We took them to see the Focus on the Family headquarters in Colorado Springs, then took them to see the amazing rock formations at Garden of the Gods (Phil and I call it Garden of OUR God). It is spectacular to see these huge red rocks shooting up from the ground.
We then went and had a late lunch in old Colorado City and then treated ourselves to some Rocky Mountain Chocolates. YUM!
On Sunday, they joined us at our church, Calvary South Denver, where we're quickly feeling at home. Since starting the church in August, we've been involved in the couples' ministry, and I (Darbi) am planning on getting involved in the worship team here soon. Today we went to the new missions' group lunch, and were encouraged by the passionate people who want to spread the love of God to a hurting world in need of love.
OK back to mom and dad's visit. After church, they took us and our good friends Tom and Jenn to a great Chinese place for lunch. We're still feating on the leftovers. =)
It was great to have them be part of our world for a few days. Thanks for visiting us! And to our other friends and family - we'd LOVE to have you visit. Anytime!
